You can align objects to a grid or to each other.

Aligning Objects to a Grid

When grid aligning is on, an object snaps to the nearest position spot on the grid whenever you move or resize it.

To start aligning objects to a grid:

To align objects to the grid without moving them:

To choose the size of the grid's squares:

To choose which of the object's edges is aligned to the grid:

Aligning Objects to Each Other

To align objects in rows or columns:

  1. Click the object whose position you want the others to match.
  2. Shift-click the rest.
  3. Choose Format > Align > Make Row or Format > Align > Make Column.
